VIDEO DESCRIPTION
Join us on our second shipping container tiny house tour as we talk through the tiny house and explain our progress thus far. We start at the front door where Chris explains the work on the cedar siding with its first coat of stain.

As we go inside notice how bright the interior looks with the freshly painted walls. The white really reflects the light and makes the space look that much longer, wider, and taller! I am so glad I took Chris's advice and went that route instead of the darker blue for paint. The kitchen and living room with really make the place a home. Two foot wide space for countertops will be perfect for prepping breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Having the EcoZoom rocket stove in addition to the Cubic Mini wood stove will make preparing food an enjoyable task while heating water and heating the tiny house.

Once inside the shipping container tiny house, you really have no idea you are inside a shipping container. The only hint that you are in a container, is the obscure connection on the floor covered by a strip of sticky adhesive paper. The paper will be covered over but for now, this fits our needs perfectly in creating a pest and weather tight seal.

I do enjoy that the "hallway" has some thickness to the walls and adds some architectural interest to the interior space. The bathroom wall will also serve not only for obvious privacy but also as a great place to add shelves for Chris's extensive book collection. In so many tiny houses, the bathroom is right off from the kitchen, so I really appreciate some distance between the bathroom and kitchen spaces.
Once in the bathroom, we can see that it still needs some more work but I am very excited to have a full bathtub that drains to the outside so that we can reuse the greywater for plants and not waste any of it! A compost toilet using wood chips and charcoal will further reuse waste into a beneficial compost for the permaculture food forest.

Chris and I transition into the bedroom which will furnish a custom made queen sized bed that is elevated to allow for a large storage space underneath. Next, to the back window, there will be a desk for Chris to write his amazing books and further, explore his talents in writing much like Thoreau did.
